Topical Summary of Ohio Oil and Gas Law
Generally speaking, Ohio oil and gas law is broken into regulations (via the Ohio Revised Code) and rules (via the Ohio Administrative Code). The Ohio Revised Code (ORC) is altered and amended with the approval of both chambers of the Ohio legislature. The Ohio Administrative Code (OAC) reflects the intent of the ORC. State agencies may promulgate rules which must be approved to alter the OAC.
